By mutual agreement Bob Wren and the GMB Nottingham Panthers have parted company.

Bob was injured and played through the pain barrier for the Panthers and was later diagnosed with a broken bone in his foot.

Although well on the road to recovery the club and the player have reached an agreement and he will be leaving the organisation.
Panthers’ GM Gary Moran said today : “The guy is a gentleman. He is a dedicated athlete who did his best for the club and we all wish him well in the future. Both Bob and the club wish things had worked out better for him during his time in Nottingham but he leaves with our thanks for his efforts and our hopes for a bright future.”

Meanwhile defenceman Tuukka Makela will not be returning to the Panthers, at least for the time being.

He was signed as cover for injured players and had a great, if somewhat short, spell with the team.
His short-term contract ran out during his recent suspension and he returned to his family in Finland straight after the Continental Cup in Italy. Tuukka played some fantastic games for the Panthers during his time with the club, not least in the Continental Cup in Asiago.

The club is not closing any doors but for the time being he will not be rejoining the roster.
