GMB Panthers add another ex-NHLer to the roster. Matt Ryan signs!

The GMB Panthers have signed forward Matt Ryan for the upcoming campaign. The 28-year-old has four years in the AHL including a 12 game call up to the Los Angeles Kings on his resume as well as two years in Germany's DEL and time in Italy, Scandinavia and Austria at the highest levels.

He won a championship in juniors and again last year in Norway where he had 25 points in 18 games including their play-offs.

As coach Corey Neilson closes in on his final signings there was no hiding his delight at capturing the signature of Matt Ryan: "He has speed and great puck-handling skills plus a wealth of experience and great character

"He played 12 games with the Kings and 266 with the Manchester Monarchs in the AHL. Add to that his time in Europe and you tick a lot of boxes!"

Matt can play centre or left wing which gives the coaching staff options Fans get their first chance to see him in home ice action when French side Amiens visit the Capital FM Arena in August for Aladdin Cup action.
