Six feet seven inch defenceman Brent Henley has signed for the GMB Nottingham Panthers for the upcoming season.

He's another long time target of head coach Corey Neilson who joins us on Panthers Radio (in association with Xynomix) to talk about the latest arrival. Just click on the link to hear the coach.

Brent was with Florida and Fort Wayne in the East Coast Hockey League last year as well as a brief spell with Lake Erie in the AHL.

He has a reputation as a tough guy but he can also skate and play well. He's a left shot defenceman and brings size, toughness and ability to the blueline.

Said coach Neilson : "He has been focused on his game in recent times, he hasn't come across as many willing combatants as in the past, and he logs plenty of minutes for his teams. He has a great attitude, he wants to win, he will do whatever it takes to win, he's a great team guy and a great leader. I'm excited to have him and he's very excited to be joining us."

Brent Henley will be studying at the University of Derby.
