GMB Nottingham Panthers have games in hand, but were knocked off top spot in the Elite League standings after losses on Saturday at home to Cardiff (1-2), and on the road in Guildford, where the final 5-2 scoreline included two empty-net goals, as Nottingham pushed hard to get something out of the game.

Speaking exclusively on Panthers Radio with Xynomix, Panthers’ head coach Corey Neilson spoke of how his team battled in both games but came up short.

He highlighted how much his team had to chase possession over the weekend and praised them for their achievements so far this year, but admitted they have to be better.

Panthers are next at home on Sunday when Belfast, who went top of the table this weekend, are in town at four o’clock. Tickets now on sale for what promises to be a barn-burner.
