Former Panther conquers Bakewell show in his latest award winning effort!
TV celebrity butcher and former Panther Johnny Pusztai has picked up another top award with his standard thin sausage being awarded GOLD by the Guild of Food. And his medal collection got even bigger when his new "Five-a-Day" sausage which includes different vegetables swept the board at the prestigious Bakewell Show.
Johnny, who still plays rec hockey as well as coaching the university team, has appeared on television countless times from his Beedhams shop on Mansfield Road at Sherwood.
The butcher has won many awards including some for his Panthers' inspired sausages, like the SIZZLING SLAPSHOT. Recently he cleaned up at the prestigious Nottingham Wilson Restaurant Awards taking the top prize in the Producer/Local Supplier category.
For the second year running he is in the running for a Local Food award from UK TV FOOD, he has plans to use the prize to help local youngsters if he gets the most votes via the station's website. Please vote for him. Voting closes on the seventh.
