The GMB Nottingham Panthers fans are feeling glad all over after David Clarke hit five goals on his return weekend to the club.
Clarkie hit four against Hull, all on the powerplay, all in the second period, and his powerplay goal in Newcastle was vital too.
He told the website this morning : "It is great to be back. The fans were tremendous. It was an exciting game, we have got off to a winning start and we're aiming to build on it."
Coach Corey Neilson was rightly proud of his side adding:"Everyone did a great job for us, we got Clarkie back to score goals and he did just that, both the opposition teams found that we won't back down. The fans were tremendous, the pre-season publicity drive has worked well and the new guys are starting to realise how important ice hockey is in this town."
