GMB PANTHERS GAIN GROUND on the leaders
A storming last ten minutes saw Nottingham come back into Saturday's league game against the Devils only to eventually lose out on penalties (2-3)
Elsewhere leaders Coventry lost in Hull (2-1) and Sheffield won at Newcastle (2-4). The Belfast Edinburgh game was abandoned because of a hole in the ice just before the second break with Giants one goal up.
In Nottingham the visitors took a two goal first period lead and held it until there were just over ten minutes to go but goals from Bruce Richardson and David Clarke fired up the five thousand plus crowd.
There was no further scoring however and the penalty shoot-out went the way of the Devils.
