A big third period sees GB open with a win
A big third period for Great Britain's senior men's team saw them open their World Championship campaign in Northern Ireland with a win over Croatia (4-2) Panthers' Robert Farmer assisted on GB's first goal (powerplay) in the first period but Croatia leveled with a man-advantage in the middle session. David Clarke put GB ahead even-strength in the third and former Panther Evan Mosey doubled the lead before the Croatians reduced the margin to 3-2 with five and a half minutes to go on a five-on-three powerplay. GB restored the two goal cushion with 64 seconds left in the game as Robert Lachowicz assisted. Earlier favourites Japan beat Holland 6-1. Pics: Dean Woolley.
