Bank Holiday Monday action at four - tickets available until face-off

The GMB Nottingham Panthers start the New Year with home ice action on Bank Holiday Monday with the visit of the Edinburgh Capitals for a four o’clock face-off. Panthers ended 2016 with eleven points out of a possible twelve over the holidays and the last festive game of the series gives Nottingham a chance for revenge over the Capitals who won in Nottingham at the start of the season. Head coach Corey Neilson will be keeping an eye on the treatment room after the grueling holiday schedule, not least on the netminding front after starter Miika Wiikman went down with a fever and Henry Pacl left the action before the half-way stage on New Year’s Eve with a cut eye and head injury. “They’re all big games now, we’ve just past the half-way stage of the league campaign and we’re by no means out of anything, we’re in the Continental Cup Super Final in a couple of weeks, we’re in the Challenge Cup semi-final too and the league run over Christmas was almost perfect,” said Neilson. He added: “But they’re in the record books and the team is looking forward starting with the match-up against Edinburgh. The fans have been great and the more there are in the stands cheering the team on the better our chances are.” Tickets from the box office, from 0843 373 3000 or click here: https://www.motorpointarenanottingham.com/Online/mapSelect.asp and select GMB Panthers
