Coach Neilson weighing up all his recruitment options and loving it
GMB Nottingham Panthers’ head coach Corey Neilson says he’s loving his job at the moment. The list of potential recruits grows every day with agent’s e-mails and players getting in touch and he admits it’s a time of year that is hard to beat. He told the website tonight: “There’s no concrete news on the recruitment front just yet but that doesn’t mean there’s nothing going on. Every day the options increase and I thoroughly enjoy putting squads together on paper, working out who could play with who, what we’d need if this deal or that deal comes off and so on. “It’s fascinating and I’m very excited about next season already. When we get ink on contracts the fans will be the first to know. It could happen tomorrow and it might not happen before next week. You never know what’s round the corner. I’m getting reports and scouting assessments on players on a daily basis, I’m talking to players and agents and others as we piece together what we want to see on the ice in the Panthers’ uniform in the coming season. I love it!” Season ticket early bird prices still apply and the direct debit payment scheme for season tickets is also still in operation. Deadlines for both are not until the end of May.
