GMB Panthers add defenceman Tim Billingsley

The GMB Nottingham Panthers have added Canadian defenceman Tim Billingsley to the roster for the upcoming 2017-18 campaign. The six feet two inch defenceman was a seventh round draft pick of the Arizona Coyotes in the NHL in 2008. He’s been with the Brampton Beast for the past two seasons where he had 21 assists in a 27 point tally over 60 games last year. GMB Panthers’ head coach Corey Neilson said of the latest signing : “I’ve had good reports on Tim from coaches across the East Coast League. “He’s had two good seasons with Brampton Beast, he’s a good skater and a great two-way hockey player. “He likes to jump in to the offence but is essentially a good defenceman. I’m very happy to have him.” And the player himself added: “I’ve heard great things about the Panthers, their fans and the organisation. I’m excited to join the club and can’t wait to get there.” Listen to Corey's full interview on Panthers Radio with Xynomix here: http://www.panthers.co.uk/sites/default/files/Tim%20Billingsley.mp3
