GMB Panthers enjoying first day in Ritten
The GMB Panthers set off at 12:30 yesterday to catch their flight from Luton. 12 hours after leaving the National Ice Centre in Nottingham, they arrived in Ritten to start preparing for the Continental Cup. This morning they woke to a beautiful, if a little cold (-4 degrees Celsius…), sun soaked Ritten. They made their way to the Ice arena, surrounded by mountains and an athletics’ track outside. The arena staff welcomed us with open arms, as they will do for all our travelling fans. They are all incredibly helpful and fully catered to help all English speakers with any problems you may have while in Ritten. We warn any fans who are travelling to Ritten that the rinks are freezing cold so you’ll want to be wrapped up warm for outside and inside while watching the games! The boys then enjoyed a great first training session while getting themselves prepared for the tournament. We will have some team news coming out at 1PM so keep your eyes peeled. Check out the photos taken by Karl Denham on behalf of Panthers Images at the bottom of the story.
