Good tournament says coach on Panthers Radio
GMB Panthers' head coach Corey Neilson says the tournament in France did what it says on the tin in that it helped bring his team forward, get a good work-out, and come together. Sunday saw his side go down 7-3 to the event winners UQTR from Canada. Speaking exclusively on Panthers Radio (with Xynomix) straight after the game, Neilson admitted his side ran out of gas having finished at 11.30pm on Saturday and starting up again at 11.30am for their final game. He said it was a tough end to a good tournament which saw lots of character from his players with some playing through the pain barrier to compete. The Napoleon Cup was destined to go to the winners of the game between UQTR and Panthers and the coach reckons a string of excellent saves by the opposition goalie in the first period probably decided the outcome as his side later tired and took penalties which proved costly. But the coach says he's still happy with the way things are developing. Hear him now, just click on the link from the home page.
