Not there yet but a record first game crowd is on the cards

The latest sales report from the box office suggest we're getting close to setting a new first league game crowd record when the Cardiff Devils visit the GMB Nottingham Panthers on Saturday. A club spokeswoman said today: "After a record breaking summer of season ticket sales it now looks like we're going to surpass last year's first game record too. The fans are amazing in Nottingham and of course having the mouth-watering prospect of a match up with rivals Cardiff is also creating extra interest in the first game. "The match, which faces off on Saturday at seven o'clock, will count towards both league points and Challenge Cup points. "Matthew Myers is back in Nottingham for the first time since he moved back to his home town in the summer, they've got new faces, we've got new faces. They lost a cup game last weekend then beat Braehead at home in the league. We took four points out of six in Scotland on a three-in-three road-trip including a win at Braehead, so it's early in the season and it's already finely balanced. "What a way to raise the curtain on the new season." Whilst a big crowd is expected, there will be plenty of room for fans to pay on the door...but to avoid the queues buy in advance....call 0843 373 3000...click on the link from the home page....or visit the box office, open daily nine 'til nine.
