PAPERWORK FILED FOR BRIAN MCGRATTAN

The paperwork for recent signing Brian McGrattan's work visa has been logged in at the government department in New York and the club and the player are waiting for an update. A Panthers' club spokeswoman said today: "Everything was done as quickly as possible, if not quicker. The whole process from signing to approval can take up to four weeks and Brian only signed eight days ago but we had certificates and things in order in a matter of hours and Brian was quick to follow suit at his end with the visa application. He visited the biometrics centre last week and we've heard everything is now at the office in New York which handles these things for players across America and Canada. "We're crossing our fingers that we'll get a quick answer and that the answer will be positive and then his passport will be sent back to him. After that we'll get him a flight as soon as possible, he wants to get into the line-up and we want him here as quick as is humanly possible. We've done the graft, we're hoping it'll pay off sooner rather than later. As soon as we hear back we'll bring the fans right up to date."
