Player News- WIIKMAN returns tonight. STRAX looks ahead.

Tonight's clash against the Braehead Clan marks the return of Miika Wiikman in goal Kept away from action last weekend, tonight the Panthers starting netminder makes a return to the side in time for the huge Challenge Cup fixture. The second leg of the quarter-final match-up with the Clan is in Nottingham next Wednesday. Before that there's a home league encounter with Midlands' rivals Coventry on Sunday. There is also news on a few of the players who’ve been missing from the ice over the last few games. David Clarke and Jeff Dimmen are progressing well under the watchful eye of the medical staff. Clarke will travel tonight in his role as assistant coach but Dimmen will remain with medical staff in Nottingham to continue monitoring him. There is no update on Geoff Waugh as of yet and he continues to work with the physios in an effort to return to the ice as soon as possible.
