Schools programme new look - kids come to us this year!

The GMB Nottingham Panthers' schools programme has seen hundreds and hundreds of visits by players over recent years to local schools where the guys have talked to the kids about healthy eating, respecting each other, behaviour matters and more. This year we're swinging it round with help from the National Ice Centre and the Blue Bell Trust and the kids will be coming to us. They will get to watch part of a Panthers' training session and then they get to lace them up and come on the ice. The Panthers players will be there to lend a hand and afterwards the kids will all get a certificate to say they've taken part, and they'll get tickets to a Panthers' game too. Nic Williams from Blue Bell Trust said: "These ice sessions will be used exclusively for the schools visits and give them a chance to meet and greet and skate with the Nottingham Panthers. We'll have National Ice Centre skating coaches on hand too. And then the kids get to come back on another day to watch the Panthers playing a game, two tickets each. The Panthers, the NIC and the Trust have pulled this one together and the various days are open to primary AND secondary schools. The cost is just £4.50 per pupil."
