The GMB Nottingham Panthers entertain Midlands rivals Coventry Blaze in an important cup game on Friday night. Face-off 7.30pm It promises to be a great way to start your weekend. Panthers are already through to the next round of the cup but are looking for the strongest possible finish to the round-robin section which will in turn decides the seedings for the quarter-finals. Coventry have not yet booked a place in the quarter-finals and will not go through if they don't win. Panthers will be without Geoff Waugh for the game who is still receiving treatment. Chris Lawrence was back on the ice for light training this week but is not yet ready to return and the pair will join Stephen Schultz on the injured list. There are other knocks and bumps but the rest of the team is available, including new signing defenceman six feet seven inch former NHL first round draft pick Kirstian Kudroc.
