190805 | Game 28
Panthers’ season tickets cover 28 games a season.
With the 27 home league games in season 2019-20 included on the season ticket there’s another match to be added.
The season ticket will include the first additional game put on to the upcoming schedule.
So, if Panthers get through the first round of the Challenge Cup the home leg of the quarter-finals will be added to the ST allocation.
If that doesn’t happen we’ll look to add the home leg of the play-off quarter-finals.
The make-up of the league and the format (three home and three away games against each team) was decided after season ticket arrangements had to be set in motion.
Last year the reverse problem occurred when there were too many league games (eleven teams) and Panthers held a draw to pull two matches out of the ST allocation (having first made sure that draw would not include home games against arch-rivals Sheffield).
A club spokeswoman said today: “We’ve had a few requests from fans asking where the 28th game is coming from and taking on board the suggestion from some fans we’ve decided to add EITHER the cup quarter-final OR the play-offs quarter-final home legs.
“Head Coach Tim Wallace and Director of Hockey Gui Doucet are determined to win something this year. It promises to be an exciting season from start to finish.
“Season ticket holders expect to have to pay for the Challenge Cup round-robin first round home games, that’s normal, so the plan is to add the first addition to the schedule when it happens.”
Pre-season action starts on August 17th at home to Cardiff when the new-look Panthers hit the ice for the first time. Big discounts apply for that game as they do a week later when Coventry visit. The discounts are even bigger for season ticket holders who can also watch the squad exclusively at a ST holders only training session on Thursday August 15th, doors open at 6.30pm. The training session is free admission and ST holders can check out their seat locations in relation to the new plexi-glass and dasher boards at the same time.
To recap the ticket prices: tickets are now on sale for the two pre-season games against Cardiff and Coventry with £3 off across the board for everyone but make that £5 off for season ticket holders who buy their locations before close of business on August 11th for the Cardiff game and by close of business on August 18th for the visit of Coventry.
Season ticket holders cards will be available for collection from this morning (Monday) at the box office. Tickets for the Challenge Cup game Panthers v Sheffield on Sunday September 1st are also now on sale.
Season ticket holders can take advantage of a one pound discount for the Sheffield match if they buy their locations before close of business at the home game against Coventry on August 24th.
