The diagnosis for forward Georgs Golovkovs isn’t what we were hoping for and he’s set to be side-lined for a few weeks.

Panthers’ #19 was hurt when he blocked a shot in the vital cup win at Manchester last weekend.

There are no other injury worries ahead of the important league back-to-back home weekend action against in-form Belfast Giants. Said Director of Hockey Gui Doucet this morning: “We have a big squad and we have instant cover available for Georgs because of the number of imports we have signed but it is sad news that he has been hurt, we’re all hoping for a speedy recovery for him and can’t wait to have him available for selection as soon as possible.”

The action starts at seven on Saturday and at four on Sunday. Saturday’s game is already more than two-thirds sold and Sunday’s is more than half way there too.

Tickets are on sale now. Call 0843 373 3000, visit the box office or click here to buy online.
