There’s a huge atmosphere guaranteed at tomorrow (Sunday’s) big ice hockey clash in Nottingham with the biggest crowd of the season already booked in to watch THE NOTTINGHAM Panthers take on arch-rivals and currently top of the table Sheffield Steelers. The match is sponsored by CLAY CREATORS – after school clubs and birthday parties – and comes just a week after the two sides shared a nine-goal thriller in Yorkshire which the Steelers edged in sudden-death overtime. Said Director of Hockey Gui Doucet today : “If we needed any more motivation for tomorrow’s game that’s it right there, we want revenge, but I’ve played in them, I’ve watched them and now I’m with the panthers in another way and these are the games that everyone connected with the sport enjoys. The flames don’t need fanning. “The fans will be making some noise tomorrow for sure, and we’ll be aiming to give them something to shout about!” The match has been selling well all week and there are some tickets still available but we’d still advise that fans buy in advance if they can and don’t risk leaving it until game-time (four o’clock) Sunday. The box office is open throughout Saturday, you can call 0843 373 3000 or you can click on the link on the homepage to buy on-line. It’s a big day for fans off the ice as well. Special Christmas merchandise goes on sale at the game and every Panthers’ player will be available after the match at a signing session to customise your purchases. The special Christmas replica skyline jerseys, to be worn on Boxing Day and New Year’s Eve by the team, have arrived and are on sale near the foyer. The special Panthers’ Quiz Annual is launched (£5). There’s no Panthers’ Yearbook this season and the Quiz Annual takes its place with a full player profile section and a chance to test your knowledge throughout the Panthers’ history. The brand new 2020 Pups and Pucks calendar featuring the cutest, cuddliest, furriest creatures around – plus the kittens, puppies and rabbits from the RSPCA- goes on sale tomorrow too (£10). And just for tomorrow there’s a one-off bundle price for the calendar plus the quiz annual plus the charity book (£10) Broken Heart set against a Panthers’ backdrop for a combined total price of just £20 saving you a fiver! The bundle is exclusively available from the merchandise stand in the foyer when you get to the game or from the signing session under Block 18 after the match. The players will get showered and up to the session as soon as they can after the game. PANTHERS’ ICE HOCKEY – JUST CAN’T GET ENOUGH! SEE YOU THERE!
