200417 | McGrattan
Former Panther and NHL tough-guy Brian McGrattan is urging Nottingham fans to stay positive during the virus lockdown. Panthers’ Radio with XYNOMIX caught up with Big Ern during lockdown in Calgary where he works for the Flames.
He admits he’s been through a few tough times and he’s promising hockey fans the current crisis won’t last forever.
He’s stuck at home with his wife and five-year-old son and in our special interview he looks back on what he calls an amazing year in Nottingham.
He played over 300 games ‘in the show’ at Phoenix, Calgary, Nashville and Ottawa picking up over 600 penalty minutes along the way.
He was the AHL’s most penalized player one year. He won a junior championship before he joined the professional leagues but he remembers winning the Continental Cup with Nottingham three years ago as a career highlight.
“Nottingham made me feel five-years-old again!”
