The Black and Gold Knight staged a successful walkabout on V.E. Day raising over a thousand pounds for charity.
Sir Panther aka our own rinkside announcer Ken Feast toured his village at Newstead and was thrilled to see several Panthers’ fans turn out in their gardens to wave and cheer him on as he tried to raise much needed funds for the local riding for the disabled charity.
Ken is usually part of the Loxwood Joust in the closed-season but all their shows, like our sport, have been affected by the pandemic. He marked V.E. day with a tour of the village in full regalia and has described the raising of a grand as “humbling”.
Everyone kept their distances and observed the rules with no collection on the tour. The money was raised through a giving page on the internet and is still open at https://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/KenFeast
On Ken’s behalf we’d like to thank everyone who gave him and his trusty steed Sanna a cheer and a wave and of course a big thank you to everyone who supported his venture and donated to such a worthy cause.
THE MORE WE STICK TO IT, THE MORE WE STICK TOGETHER – THE SOONER WE WILL BE TOGETHER.
