The GMB Nottingham Panthers expect to be at full strength for the home game against Braehead Clan from Glasgow on Saturday at seven o’clock in the Challenge Cup.

After their European adventure in the Champions Hockey League came to an heroic end this weekend Panthers’ attentions turn full-time to the domestic action.

This weekend they have just the one game – at home to the Clan and points are vital in the bid to reach the knock-out stages of the Challenge Cup.

Mark Derlago – who has been in Canada on compassionate leave – is due to fly back to the UK this weekend and should be in contention for a place in the line-up. With no serious injuries to report after their European exploits it means the coaching staff will have a choice to make. If a skater is rested then both import goalies can dress, if one of the two import goalies sits out, Sam Gospel will go in as back-up.

Tickets for Saturday’s big clash are on sale now.
