Friday match ticket update - latest
Fifty sponsors returns went on sale this afternoon and were snapped up inside an hour for tomorrow’s league match between the GMB Nottingham Panthers and the Sheffield Steelers. The bowl at the arena has been sold out (apart from a handful of the so-called ‘sight-line seats’) for several days. As of Thursday evening the box office can still get you in but we are talking individual seats with a slightly restricted view (this means you may in some cases have to lean forwards to see a corner of the ice or for example you may have one of the small security mesh barriers in between you and a small section of ice). The quarter-finals of the play-offs will be determined by the games this weekend – possibly starting with Friday's game between Panthers and Sheffield. Panthers will be at home on Saturday April 1st or Sunday April 2nd. If Panthers win on Friday the two sides will meet again in the quarter-finals with the home leg on Saturday April 1st. It could still be Panthers versus Steelers in the quarter-final regardless of Friday’s result but other results could match Panthers with the Belfast Giants, in which case the home leg will be the second leg on Sunday April 2nd, with the first leg in Northern Ireland on the Saturday. The home leg of the quarter-finals is included on the season ticket. The box office is getting ready to put the other seats on sale from noon on Monday (March 27th) whoever the opposition is and regardless of which date, so our play-off quarter-final tickets will go on sale from Monday at noon.
