Salvation Army send thanks to fans
The Salvation Army have sent a message of thanks to the fans of the GMB Nottingham Panthers for supporting our Teddy Bear Toss with such enthusiasm. The soft toys came raining down in their thousands at last weekend's home game to celebrate Panthers' first goal of the night and will now be distributed to youngsters across the region by the Salvation Army. We had more than eight cages full of teddies and toys when they were collected off the ice after an amazing response from fans and sponsors. Carol Beardall the divisional admin support officer wrote to us saying : "Thank you so much for your help on Saturday. Sorry we couldn't influence a win for The Panthers, but it was a win for us with all the Teddy Bears that we were able to collect, kindly given by your fans. "On behalf of all the children who will be getting Teddy Bears this Christmas I would like to say a massive thank you to The Panthers and their fans for creating this brilliant event."
