JC Brassard scored the overtime winner as The Nottingham Panthers beat Dundee Stars 5-4 in Scotland in the Elite League.

Jack Berry got the start in goal with Nottingham Lions netminder Matty Bloor serving as back-up.

Panthers were once again without defencemen Duggie Lagrone and Craig Moore who missed the game through injury.

Ferrara and Hopkins score in end-to-end first period
Panthers went ahead when Mike Caruso fanned on his shot, but it slid nicely for Luke Ferrara to swivel and fire low past Anton Svensson (4:43).

Berry made a superb pad save to deny Johan Eriksson, although could do nothing to stop Ben Sokay after he cut inside from the left (11:03).

After a delay for a Teddy Bear Toss, Panthers went ahead again only 37 seconds later as Jack Hopkins fired through traffic from right point (11:40).

Dundee drew level on a five-on-three powerplay when a well-worked cycle saw Romans Semjonovs beat Berry with a one-timer from the right circle (17:38).

Anderson and Brady on target in topsey-turvery second period
Panthers went ahead for a third time as Fab Ricci's pass towards the net deflected in off Stephen Anderson (22:26).

Philippe Sanche buried home a rebound as Stars came back again (29:23) before David Levin hit the left-hand post as Nottingham went in search of a fourth.

Dundee took the lead for the first time through Elijiah Barriga's close-range finish (35:34), but Panthers hit back on a two-man advantage as Brett Welychka fed Adam Brady in the slot (38:56).

Brassard wins it overtime after scoreless third period
Sanche hit the pipes on a breakaway and at the other end, Jeremy Welsh went close twice in quick succession and Ferrara was denied on a late third-period powerplay.

In overtime, Berry got a piece of his skate to stop Barriga on a breakaway, while Brassard hit the crossbar from close range.

And on the same shift, David Levin's perfect feed from behind the net found Brassard to drive the puck past Svensson for the extra point.
