HAMMOND AND MYERS IN GB ACTION AT WEEKEND

The Nottingham Panthers forwards Matthew Myers and Mike Hammond were part of Great Britain's two-game series with Latvia this weekend.

Myers and Hammond played in last night's game at the Motorpoint Arena in Nottingham as 4,000 people saw GB win a thrilling game 3-2 in overtime.

Myers then captained the team this evening in another pulsating encounter as Latvia took the honours 6-3 at the Skydome Arena in Coventry thanks to two empty-net goals.

GB now turn their attentions to a two-game series with Hungary which starts tomorrow night with a game in Milton Keynes (7:30pm).

Britain and Hungary then go head-to-head on Wednesday at the Motorpoint Arena (7:30pm), with tickets available by clicking here.

Pete Russell's side are preparing for the IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship Division I Group A which gets under way on Saturday in Nottingham.
