After Panthers won 4-2 in Altricham on Saturday night, the Storm skated to a 3-2 victory at the Motorpoint Arena just under 24 hours later.
Manchester scored three times in the second period to take control of the game, but third-period goals from Otto Nieminen and Hugo Roy set-up an exciting finish.
Panthers lifted netminder Rok Stojanovic for the extra skater with three minutes remaining, but Storm held on to secure an away win.
Nottingham return to action on Saturday night with Sheffield Steelers visiting the Motorpoint Arena in the Challenge Cup (7pm).
