IT'S ALADDIN CUP ACTION ON SATURDAY

The Nottingham Panthers are busy preparing for Saturday's meeting with Coventry Blaze at the Motorpoint Arena (7pm face-off).

This Saturday's game will be for the Aladdin Cup with five minutes three-on-three overtime and penalty shots to determine the winner if needed.

After a day off on Monday, Panthers hit the ice twice yesterday and will have two more sessions today as the pre-season training camp continues ahead of the regular season starting a week on Saturday.

Panthers go into the game on the back of Sunday's thrilling 4-3 victory over arch rivals Sheffield Steelers, which saw them lift the GM the GM Memorial Cup.

After Saturday's Aladdin Cup game, Panthers face the Blaze again on Sunday as the two sides meet in a pre-season challenge game at the Skydome Arena.

The regular-season action starts a week on Saturday with a trip to Manchester Storm in the Challenge Cup, before the two sides go head-to-head again the following day in the Elite League at the Motorpoint Arena (4pm).
