It's gameday for The Nottingham Panthers with Cardiff Devils coming to the Motorpoint Arena this evening (19:00 face-off) for game one of the two-match Aladdin Cup series.

The two sides will meet again in Cardiff tomorrow afternoon for game two. Both matches will be played to their completion with a three-on-three five-minute overtime and penalty shootout if required.

If the two-match series is tied in Cardiff tomorrow, a separate penalty shootout will be held to determine the winner of the Aladdin Cup.

Nottingham come into the game on the back of a 4-1 victory over Coventry Blaze at the Skydome thanks to two Mike Hammond goals and one each for Jordan Kelsall and JC Brassard.

The Devils secured back-to-back victories over Manchester Storm last weekend - an 8-3 victory on home ice on Saturday was followed by a 3-2 overtime success in Altrincham the following day.

Panthers Head Coach, Gary Graham, said: "Cardiff are very good off the rush and very good on the cycle. That's where you have to shut them down.

"Once they get into the zone, they have so many quick, skilled players that can really hurt you.

"I think it's going to be really important how we play from the top of the circles in the offensive zone to our defensive blueline.

"It's going to be about two good teams playing back-to-back games."

You can be a winner on a Panthers matchnight
There are two ways to win with the Panthers on matchnight.

The 50/50 draw is back as ever for just £1 and you could win half of the takings in the special prize draw.

There's also the popular shirt off the back for £1 - you choose which player you want and you literally get the shirt off the back handed to you. A very special prize indeed.

Look out for the sellers in the foyer and around the rink.
