The Nottingham Panthers have two home games in the Viaplay Elite League this weekend with both Cardiff Devils and Dundee Stars coming to the Motorpoint Arena.

The Devils are in town on Saturday (7pm) before the double-header home weekend is completed with the visit of Dundee on Sunday (4pm).

This is the third and final regular-season meeting between the Panthers and Cardiff at the Motorpoint Arena and Nottingham have won the past two games on home ice.

Back in October, Panthers skated to a 5-2 victory with a double from Brett Welychka as well as goals by Matthew Myers, Stephen Anderson and Adam Brady.

The two sides also met in mid-December with a short-benched Panthers side winning by the same scoreline.

Corey Neilson's side were without the injured Mike Caruso, Duggie Lagrone and Craig Moore, while Archie Hazeldine and Jack Hopkins were on international duty with Great Britain at the Under-20 World Championship in Lithuania.

Sixteen-year-old Archie Salisbury played for the second successive night on loan from NIHL side Peterborough Phantoms.

Great work from Stephen Anderson found Kelly Summers who put Panthers ahead, before a three-goal second period saw them take total control.

A Welychka bullet on the powerplay was followed by Mike Hammond setting-up Fabrizio Ricci on a two-on-one break, while Luke Ferrara batted the puck out of the air for Nottingham's fourth.

Ben Davies and Ryan Penny reduced the arrears either side of the second intervall, while Welychka sealed the victory with an empty-net goal for his second of the night.
