The Nottingham Panthers return to action this evening with a trip to Scotland to face Glasgow Clan in the Elite League (7pm face-off).

Panthers and the Clan are two of a number of teams in the battle for the playoffs. Glasgow currently occupy the eighth and final spot with Panthers only four points behind and with two games in hand.

Both sides go into the game on the back of midweek wins, with the Panthers coming from 4-2 down to skate to a 5-4 victory over Cardiff Devils.

The Clan were down 2-0 at home to Guildford Flames but came back to win 3-2 after a penalty shootout.

It's the second meeting between the two sides at the Braehead Arena this season after a 13-goal thriller earlier in the season.

Mathieu Lemay scored a hat-trick as Panthers secured an exciting 7-6 victory after penalty shots back in mid-October.

The Panthers are on a hot streak at the moment and have won five of the past seven matches.

Forward Alexander Lunsjö said: "You can see we are having fun when we play right now and we have some momentum.

"Everyone is enjoying it right now and we are playing good."
