MIKE HAMMOND - BOOK OF REMEMBRANCE

A Book of Remembrance has been opened to remember Mike Hammond.

Hammy passed away in a car accident earlier this month in Canada and our thoughts remain with his family, friends and former team-mates.

Mike was an experienced Great Britain international after making his debut in the World Championship gold medal-winning tournament in Budapest in 2018.

He scored some huge goals during his GB career, including against USA in 2019 in Kosice and in the come-from-behind 4-3 overtime victory against France to secure top-flight status.

Hammond's last game saw him score and add two assists in GB's 5-3 victory over Italy at the Motorpoint Arena in May to secure promotion back to the top level of the World Championship.

He spent last season with the Panthers and also iced for Braehead Clan and Manchester Storm, as well as Coventry Blaze in the Elite Series.

His death has saddened fans up and down the country and Glasgow Clan have opened a book of condolence for everyone to share their memories of Mike.

The book is open to fans of all teams which wish to leave their message as a collection and celebration of Mike’s life and how he impacted on our lives.
