The Nottingham Panthers forward Otto Nieminen says his latest experience of the passion of the club's supporters was very special.

The 27-year-old scored twice on his home debut yesterday as Panthers beat the Steelers 4-3 in the GM the GM Memorial Cup.

But it's not the first time that Nieminen has played in front of the passionate Panthers fanbase - after being on the losing side when Nottingham beat Turku at the Motorpoint Arena in the 2017-18 Champions League.

Click below to watch Otto's interview on Panthers TV - in association with Jeremias Chimney Systems - where he talks about last night's crowd, the Nottingham-Sheffield rivalry and how the team is gelling after just over a week of pre-season.

Panthers are back in action on Saturday when Midlands rivals Coventry Blaze visit the Motorpoint Arena (7pm face-off) in the Aladdin Cup, before the two sides meet at the Skydome Arena the following day.

The passion on the ice and in the stands was superb last night and you can be part of it again this weekend.
