The Nottingham Panthers beat Cardiff Devils 3-1 on Saturday night in the Viaplay Elite League in a thrilling night at the Motorpoint Arena.

The tone was set inside the first couple of minutes with defenceman Mathieu Gagnon dropping the gloves, winning his fight with Mark Louis.

Jordan Kelsall's superb finish on the breakaway put Panthers ahead and after Trevor Cox equalised, Mike Hammond and Mike Caruso combined to set-up Niko Lahtinen to put Panthers in-front again.

David Levin put the seal on the victory with a highlight reel goal as he went backhand through his own legs into the top corner.
