Match Report

The Nottingham Panthers were beaten 6-2 on-the-road at Guildford Flames in the Elite League on Sunday night.

Panthers were without long-term absentee Josh Tetlow (broken arm), while Ollie Betteridge and Westin Michaud also missed out (both upper body).

Mike Robinson got the start between the pipes with Rok Stojanovic as back-up.

Flames hit back after Nieminen and Roy score for Panthers
Austin Farley set-up Otto Nieminen at the top of the crease to put Panthers ahead on the powerplay (11:59) and Hugo Roy's rebound made it two (14:15).

Guildford hit back within nine seconds as Bradley Lalonde found space in the offensive zone to fire past Robinson (14:24).

Lewis Hook tipped-in Ben O'Connor's shot on the powerplay to equalise (18:59) and Peter Crinella bundled home a rebound to put Flames ahead (18:59).

Guildford stretch lead in second period
Mathieu Lemay was thrown-out for slew-footing early in the second session and Hook bundled the puck over the line on the five-minute powerplay (28:25).

Brett Ferguson scored the home side's fifth on a late second-period powerplay, firing into the corner after a pass from Steven McParland (39:54).

Flames ease to victory
Austin Glover set-up McParland to score Guildford's sixth to put the seal on the victory for the home side (46:55).

Roy, Nieminen and Tyler Welsh had chances to reduce the arrears but could not find a way past Eamon McAdam.
