Nottingham Panthers remain top of the table thanks to a convincing 7-1 victory over Glasgow Clan on Hockey Fights Cancer night at the Motorpoint Arena.
Didrik Henbrant scored twice and Ross Armour netted his 10th of the season to become the joint-leading goalscorer in the Elite League.
Panthers were at full-strength with Nolan Volcan the healthy scratch. Kevin Carr started between the pipes with Luca Sheldon as back-up.
Clan lead after first period
Chase Pearson had an early chance for the Panthers before the visitors went ahead through Brett Neumann's neat one-time shot from the slot (02:11).
Matt Marcinew and Cooper Zech went close on a first-period powerplay while Henbrant was denied on a breakaway.
Panthers score four in second session
Panthers blitzed the Clan with four straight goals which started when Brendan Harris fed Matt Alfaro who shot across Luca Brine (21:00) who had replaced Sami Aittokallio at the start of the second period.
Marcinew set-up Pearson to put Panthers ahead (29:18) and 59 seconcs later, a sweet pass from Jordan Kelsall sent Henbrant clear to score on the breakaway (30:17).
It was 4-1 on the powerplay as Alfaro found Armour in the slot to score his 10th league goal of the season (33:02)
Henbrant scores his second as Panthers ease to victory
Panthers got the pefect start to the third period as Henbrant netted his second of the game following the set-up by Armour (42:08).
Harris and Pearson combined for Marcinew to score from close-range (44:42) and in the closing stages, Alfaro sent Harris on a breakway who buried the puck past Brine (59:41) as Panthers secured a seventh successive victory.
