Jarod Hilderman and Matt Marcinew combined to send Chase Pearson clear who went top-shelf to score the Teddy Bear Toss which saw thousands of teddies rain down on the Motorpoint Arena ice.

Simon Després was thrown out with a Game Misconduct for elbows on the boards against Bryan Lemos and on the resulting five-minute powerplay, Marcinew, Cooper Zech, Matt Spencer, David Noël and Tim Doherty all went close.

At the other end, Carr made a good pad save to stop Logan Neilson's close-range effort.
