Nottingham Panthers come from behind to secure a dramatic 2-1 victory after overtime against Manchester Storm at the Motorpoint Arena.

Nolan Volcan came into the line-up to replace the suspended Brendan Harris. Kevin Carr started between the pipes with Luca Sheldon as back-up.

Storm lead at first intermission
Josh Tetlow, Bryan Lemos and David Noël had chances in the opening stages of the first period while at the other end, Carr stopped Stephen Johnson's effort.

Carr saved Loren Ulett's shot from right-point but JD Dudek was in the right place on the doorstep to bury the rebound to put the visitors ahead (10:55).

DeRidder stands tall as Panthers pepper shots on goal
Panthers had most of the possession in the second period as Noël hit the pipes, Tim Doherty shot just wide, while Chase Pearson and Matt Alfaro were both denied twice on the same powerplay.

Pearson also went close short-handed before Mitch Fossier broke clear of the Storm defence but was superbly stopped by Drew DeRidder.

Pearson ties the game
Carr had to be alert to make a good save on Manchester forward Brandon Cutler before the one-way traffic resumed and Matt Marciew's shot from the high slot hit the pipes.

Panthers' relentless pressure finally told when Marcinew's shot was saved and Pearson buried the rebound to equalise (53:35).

Fossier wins it in overtime
Carr made superb stops to deny Dudek and Tyler Hinam before a beautiful play secured Panthers the extra point.

Fossier entered the zone and exchanged passes with Zsombor Garát and Pearson before firing home the winner at the backdoor (64:38).
