Nottingham Panthers forward Matt Alfaro talks to Panthers TV after returning to the club for a third successive season.
The 29-year-old first joined the Panthers ahead of the 2024-25 campaign and was part of the playoff-winning team which dramatically beat Cardiff Devils 4-3 in second overtime.
A leader on and off the ice, Alfaro quickly became a popular member of the roster with the dedicated #PanthersNation supporters.
When he returned for the 2025-26 season he was appointed captain and helped Panthers win the Continental Cup thanks to memorable three games at a packed Motorpoint Arena.
He missed the Challenge Cup Final success over Coventry Blaze but played his part in the group stages, as well as the thrilling two-legged overtime victory against Sheffield Steelers in the semi-final.
Alfaro is hungry for more and told Panthers TV: "From my first day here two years ago I knew this was a special place. We've had success and I want to keep it going.
"We are striving towards something and continuing that culture we have been building here. I want to be part of that ultimate goal of winning the league trophy and we are taking steps in the right direction."

Nottingham Panthers season tickets for the 2026-27 campaign are now on sale. It's been another thrilling year of action as Panthers secured trophy success in the Challenge Cup and Continental Cup.

All-In Season Ticket
The All-In Season Ticket covers all Elite League regular-season games, all Challenge Cup home group games, as well as any subsequent home ties in the quarter-finals and semi-finals, a potential home Playoff quarter-final and all home pre-season matches played by the Panthers.
The All-In Season Ticket offers outstanding value for money and has been very popular since being introduced two years ago. All-In Season Ticket holders received a total of 37 games in the 2025-26 season and 38 games in the 2024-25 season on their season tickets.
There's an exclusive option for All-In Season Ticket holders of paying for their season ticket over nine months via direct debit.
26-Game Season Ticket
The 26-Game Season Ticket will, once again, cover 26 Elite League games next season.
This is a great value way of watching the Panthers with huge discounts on offer compared to purchasing standard matchnight tickets.
26-Game Season Ticket holders will have the option of paying for their season ticket over a seven-month direct debit.
