The battle for second place in the Elite League is going down to the final weekend of the season following Wednesday night's results.
Panthers beat Manchester Storm 2-1 at the Motorpoint Arena thanks to a game-winner by Chase Pearson with 46 seconds remaining to move up to third in the standings.
The two points moved Panthers above Sheffield Steelers who were heavily beaten 5-0 by Cardiff Devils in Wales.
With two games remaining in the regular-season the table currently looks like this...

Panthers travel to Manchester on Saturday and host Cardiff on Sunday - and two regulation-time victories would guarantee second place.

It's set to be a thrilling end to the regular-season as sides across the table battle for positoning ahead of the playoffs.
Playoff quarter-final home leg on Sunday 12th April.
Our home leg of the playoff quarter-finals will take place on Sunday 12th April (16:00 face-off) and there's already under 1,000 tickets remaining.
The quarter-finals are contested over two legs with an aggregate score and our opponents will be known after the end of the regular-season on Sunday.
The winners will progress to the Elite League Playoff Finals Weekend on Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th April at the Motorpoint Arena.
The Panthers are the defending playoff champions after last season's thrilling 4-3 victory over Cardiff Devils which saw Mitch Fossier score the winner in the second period of overtime.
