The BBC were at training this week as part of their preview to the 2025-26 UK ice hockey season getting under way this weekend.

Charlie Slater visited the Motorpoint Arena and spoke with Head Coach Danny Stewart and defenceman Matt Spencer.

The interviews will form part of a feature for BBC East Midlands Today as well as the BBC Sport website.

Cardiff visit Nottingham this Saturday (13th September)
​Our Challenge Cup campaign gets under way this Saturday (13th September) as Cardiff Devils visit the Motorpoint Arena (19:00 face-off).

Matches against the Devils are always exciting and full of passion so it's a night not to be missed.

The game is sponsored by Switch Up and it's all set to be another huge night of hockey in Nottingham.
