Wins over Guildford Flames (2-1) and Glasgow Clan (4-1) saw Danny Stewart's side move on to 43 points from 27 matches.
Belfast are seven points behind the Panthers in fourth and have three games in hand, but play one of them on Wednesday when Dundee Stars travel to Northern Ireland.
