BROAD MARSH CAR PARKING TRAFFIC FLOW
An update from Nottingham City Council Parking Services
We are aware that some customers experienced delays when exiting Broad Marsh Car Park following the game with Manchester Storm on Saturday 26th September.
The delays were caused by a combination of factors affecting traffic movement in the surrounding area, including higher than usual pedestrian activity and congestion on the local highway network.
This aligns with observations recorded by Parking Services and discussions with Traffic Management colleagues regarding traffic signal timings on Canal Street and the BBC Island.
We appreciate that this will have been frustrating for those affected and apologise for the inconvenience caused.
Following the event, Parking Services and Traffic Management have reviewed the circumstances and are making adjustments to the signal phasing at Canal Street and BBC Island to help improve traffic flow after major events.
These changes will be monitored and refined where necessary to support a smoother exit experience for customers.
We thank customers for their patience and understanding and will continue to work closely with our Traffic Management colleagues to monitor the situation and make improvements where possible.
