CHARITY: DEFIBS FOR GRASSROOTS FOOTBALL

Our Charity of the Month for February is Nottingham-based Defibs for Grassroots Football.

Defibs for Grassroots Football's aim is to provide lifesaving equipment - a defibrillator - to local grassroots clubs.

The defibrillator can potentially save lives of the team, spectators and the local community, mainly by having them at hand, saving minutes which is crucial when the patient is in cardiac arrest.

Amanda Vennell, from Defibs for Grassroots Football, said: "In five years we have raised enough to purchase 60 defibrillators, keeping our local grassroots community heart safe.

"We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone that has supported us over the past five years, your kindness and generosity can potentially save lives.

"The partnership with the Panthers means a lot to us as we grow as a charity.

"It will give us a platform to share what we do away from the football scene as we are also here to provide to other grassroots sports."
