CHARITY OF THE MONTH: NOTTINGHAMSHIRE WILDLIFE TRUST

A warm welcome to Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust who are August's Charity of the Month.

Every month, the Nottingham Panthers support a charity from across the East Midlands and we're thrilled that Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust will join us this month.

You'll be able to find out more about the work they do by visiting their stand in the foyer at our home games during August.

Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust is the leading county wildlife conservation charity, working to protect and enhance the wildlife and habitats of Nottinghamshire.

They care for dozens of nature reserves across the county, freely available for the community to access green space for their health and wellbeing.

The Trust engages with the local community through events, education and volunteering opportunities and seek to encourage as many people as possible to take action for wildlife in their own green spaces and communities, working together towards creating a wilder Nottinghamshire.

They're part of a nationwide network of local Trusts which work to protect wildlife in town and country - The Wildlife Trusts - and now boast over 945,000 members.

Emily Patrick, Strategic Partnerships Lead for the Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust, said: "We are delighted to have been chosen as the Panthers' August Charity of the Month.

"Support from local organisations and people is so important to us and vital to enable our work for wildlife across the county.
