The battle for Elite League points will continue at the weekend with two more huge matches in our season.

There's Friday night action with a trip to Scotland to face Glasgow Clan (19:30) which is followed by a meeting with our Midlands rivals at the Motorpoint Arena the following day.

Panthers host Coventry Blaze (19:00) at the Motorpoint Arena on Saturday (7th February) and tickets are selling fast for another Saturday night of hockey.

The game is sponsored by Crowngate Construction and sees an in-form Coventry side visit Lower Parliament Street.

The Blaze have secured 22 points out of a possible 24 in their past 12 matches and staged a remarkable comeback to beat Manchester Storm at the Skydome Arena on Sunday.

Kevin Moore's side were 3-1 down going into the closing stages and twice lifted netminder Mat Robson for the extra skater with the six-on-five play working a treat with goals for Elijiah Barriga at 56:44 and 57:48.

Grant Mishmash won the game for Coventry on the powerplay just 56 seconds into overtime to secure a memorable two points.

Panthers go into the game on the back of Sunday's superb 4-1 victory in Wales against Cardiff Devils, which was led by 29 saves from Kevin Carr and two goals by Cooper Zech.

Tim Doherty and Bryan Lemos were also on target as third-placed Panthers closed the gap on second-placed Cardiff to a point, with Danny Stewart's side also having a game in hand.
