It was an entertaining and action-packed day one of the IIHF Continental Cup at the Motorpoint Arena in Nottingham.
Herning of Denmark beat Angers of France 4-1 in the Red Group and in the Blue Group Panthers secured a 4-0 victory over Latvian club Mogo.
It's been a feast of European hockey so far with two days of group games to come and Saturday's medal matches.
Today's (Thursday) action sees Herning face HC Torpedo of Kazakhstan in the Red Group (14:30) and Katowice of Poland play Mogo (19:00).
Panthers are now back in action on Friday against Katowice (19:00) and victory will secure our place in Saturday's Gold-Medal Game final.
