CONTINENTAL CUP VISITS MIDLAND FILTRATION

The Continental Cup - won by Nottingham Panthers at the Motorpoint Arena last month - made a trip to our sponsors Midland Filtration recently.

Midland Filtration were the headline sponsors of the prestigious European competition as Panthers became the first UK side to win the tournament for a second time.

After wins in the group stage over Mogo (4-0) and Katowice (4-0), Danny Stewart's side beat Torpedo from Kazakhstan 4-2 to secure silverware.

Matt Spencer, Bryan Lemos and Cooper Zech put Panthers into a three-goal lead, but Torpdeo fought back with two late goals.

Hungary international defenceman Zsombor Garát scored an empty-net goal with 12 seconds remaining to ensure a special night at the Motorpoint Arena.

It was a honour to take the famous trophy to their premises to be shared with their staff.
